Douglas P. Thomas,Esq.,LL.M.

Doug is a Partner at the Scranton, PA office of Thomas|Pinnacoli. He focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, elder law, Orphans’ Court litigation, and non-profit institutions.

Doug is a native of Pennsylvania and has represented clients with tax issues for over 30 years. After serving as a senior attorney at the Philadelphia based firm of Hepburn, Willcox, Hamilton & Putnam, P.A. until 1991, where he represented high profile clients including PNC Bank, Glenmede Trust Company/Pew Charitable Trust, Lehigh University, and The Salvation Army, Doug returned to Scranton, PA and opened his own practice devoted to the community in which he grew up.

Doug received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University and attended law school at Pepperdine University Law School. Doug completed his legal studies and ultimately obtained his Juris Doctorate from Dickinson School of Law. After law school, Doug completed the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University School of Law, obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation.

Doug is an associate board member of Peoples Security Bank, NA; a member of the Lackawanna County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations; a lecturer for Lackawanna County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education programs; and a presenter in “Lawyers in the Classroom” and “The Law and Seniors” programs sponsored by the Lackawanna County Bar Association. Doug is licensed to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania.
